This is the last time we get to filing things into the room-of-no-return, and we've enjoyed getting the chance to rant on about the stuff that drives us to distraction. The following are our final offerings of what we’d like gone from our lives. Do you find these annoying, too..?
1. Tangled Locks
Knotted hair has been the bane of our lives since the days when Mum used to try and brush the tangles out for us. Now we’re doing it ourselves and it hasn’t got any easier. How does our hair do that? It’s worse first thing in the morning after a fretful sleep. All that tossing and turning we did in the night has got our barnet in a right twist. We’re busy trying to detangle our unruly locks. And now the comb’s got stuck and trying to remove it really, really hurts!
2. Teeny-weeny Stick-On Notes
You’re always using proper-sized Post-it notes to write reminders for yourself or messages for others. But you can’t see the point in the ones that are too small to write anything on. Some of the ones you’ve seen are so miniscule you could barely get one word on them. Succinct isn’t something that could be used to describe you, so you need more room to ruminate!
3. Padlocks For Suitcases
When you first went abroad as a teen, you attached a padlock to your case so nobody could break into it. The fact the case was made of Nylon and could be cut open with a knife, didn’t cross your mind. So, you now had added responsibility of keeping the key separate and not losing it – all adding to the pressure of your holiday. Nowadays you don’t lock it, because, to be honest, if somebody did get into your case, once they’d clocked your clothes, you’re not sure they’d want to nick them anyway!
4. Blokes Wearing Flip-flops
When ladies wear sandals, they normally have nicely painted toes and their feet look pretty. Men’s trotters on the other hand aren’t something we like to look at. Sometimes, they even have hairy toes. Gross! So we’d much rather they kept their tootsies under wraps rather than flaunt them in flip-flops.
As this is the end of the series, and the last thing we’ll be banishing into to Room 101, it has to be moths! We have a phobia and are terrified of the things! However many people tell us moths can’t hurt us and some are really quite stunning, it doesn’t help. Phobias are irrational fears and, as one of those horrible winged things flutters towards us, we start to feel sick, tremble and our legs crumble! Some of the bigger ones even have fur and faces! As you can see from the picture above!
We do hope you’ve enjoyed our Room 101 series. We’d love to know what you’d like to see go in there, let us know below…
