Now these are some hot dogs! These well-dressed pups were celebrating the opening of a restaurant in Brighton.
You’d be hard-pressed to find anything more adorable than a sausage dog in a fancy dress costume – and these pups certainly didn’t disappoint!
The dogs were out in force for the opening of the Dog Haus, a gourmet hot dog restaurant at a venue called Patterns, which is located on Brighton’s iconic seafront.
At the Dog Haus, you can tuck into a range of different dawgs, including ones covered in anything from Brighton beer batter to peanut butter and blueberry jam, alongside seaweed and vinegar topped chips or pulled pork served with potato smileys – yum!
To celebrate the launch of the lip-smackingly good meals, Brighton’s sausage dog society, Brighton Dachs brought their pups to the party.
The dogs were dressed in a range of stunning outfits, including Frozen’s Elsa in a tutu, bumblebees (totally bee-utiful!), dinosaurs and of course a tasty hot dog!
Judges gave out prizes to the different pups, in catergories which included ‘Best Dressed Pup’ and ‘Prettiest Bitch’.
And while the dapper dachshunds strutted their stuff on the red carpet, their owners took part in a hot dog eating contest, which was not for the faint-hearted. C(h)ompetitors attempted to wolf down as many of the sandwiches as possible in order to win their height in sausages.
The winner scoffed three large hot dogs in just over 6 minutes – far from ruff!
It’s not somewhere any of us would have liked to have been sent to – but with these totally adorbs pooches about it seems being in the dog house is a really good thing!
In fact, you could say it’s totally pawsome!
