Say hello to New York’s biggest cat! Gigantic Maine Coon cat Samson lives with his proud owner Jonathan Zurbel and is a whopping 4ft long.

28lb Samson is not only the size of a dog, but he acts a bit like one too!

‘He’ll follow me from room to room and just kinda hang out down by my feet. And he’s known to have been growling at the door before.’


This loveable moggie is not cheap to keep, as 4-year-old Samson eats a whopping 6 cans of cat food every single day.

‘I gotta get everything bigger. I have a huge litter box for him. He uses a lot of litter and he eats a lot of food.’

He also runs up huge grooming bills of $120 to keep him looking is best and even has his own very unique mode of transport…


‘Usually when I walk my cat in the stroller people are assuming I have a kid in there. People want to see him and when I hold him up they’re all staring.’

And it’s not just in the street at Samson gets plenty of attention, a he’s now racked up over 100,000 followers on Instagram.


‘I think he’s, you know, a stunning cat and I want to make him as famous as possible and get him involved in some more cat opportunities. It’s nice that people appreciate him like I do and so I love to share him with people.’

If that wasn’t enough – he’s also a great wingman too!

‘He changed my love life completely. I can’t tell you how many girls want to come over and meet him. He’s 100% a playboy and he gets me a lot of dates and

admirers. He’s priceless to me. I love him. He’s like my son he really is. I don’t have any kids and I’ve just completely bonded with him. To me he’s like a family.’
