Wicked words uttered by some of history's most depraved killers
Bundy, known for his good looks, charm and articulate manner, raped, tortured and then murdered his female victims – and frequently went back to visit the bodies. He’d often pretend to have a broken leg in a cast, asking women for help with loading items into his car. He’d then beat them over the head and bundle them into his infamous VW Bug. The exact number of killings is not known, but is suspected to be far higher than the 30 he confessed to before his execution in 1989.
“I’m the most cold-hearted son-of-a-bitch you’ll ever meet.”
“Murder is not about lust and it’s not about violence. It’s about possession.”
“We serial killers are your sons, we are your husbands, we are everywhere. And there will be more of your children dead tomorrow.”
“You feel the last bit of breath leaving their body. You’re looking into their eyes. A person in that situation is God!”
“You learn what you need to kill and take care of the details. It’s like changing a tire. The first time you’re careful. By the thirtieth time, you can’t remember where you left the lug wrench.”
“What’s one less person on the face of the earth, anyway?”
Killer, necrophile, rapist and cannibal, Dahmer preyed on men and boys, and was eventually beaten to death in a Wisconsin prison. He was known to have killed 17 men between 1978 and 1991. He was sentenced to 15 consecutive life terms and was murdered in 1994.
“I separated the joints, the arm joints, the leg joints, and had to do two boilings. I think I used four boxes of Soilex for each one, put in the upper portion of the body and boiled that for about two hours and then the lower portion for another two hours. The Soilex removes all the flesh, turns it into a jelly like-like substance and it just rinses off. Then I laid the clean bones in a light bleach solution, left them there for a day and spread them out on either newspaper or cloth and let them dry for about a week in the bedroom.”
“Yes, I do have remorse, but I’m not even sure myself whether it is as profound as it should be. I’ve always wondered myself why I don’t feel more remorse.”
“I was completely swept along with my own compulsion. I don’t know how else to put it. It didn’t satisfy me completely, so maybe I was thinking, ‘Maybe another one will. Maybe this one will.’ And the numbers started growing and growing and just got out of control, as you can see.”
“I’ve got to start eating at home more.”
Standing 6ft 9in tall and possessing the IQ of a genius, necrophile, rapist, cannibal and serial killer Kemper killed 10 people from 1964 to 1973 – beginning when he was just 15 years old, when he murdered his grandparents. His later murder spree focussed on female student hitchhikers – with Kemper often keeping his victims’ heads as a trophy…
“I just wanted to see how it felt to shoot Grandma.”

“I was literally singing to myself on my way home, after the killing. The tension, the desire to kill a woman had built up in such explosive proportions that when I finally pulled the trigger, all the pressures, all the tensions, all the hatred, had just vanished, dissipated, but only for a short time.”
John Wayne Gacy
Truly the stuff of nightmares, Gacy led a double life as Pogo the Clown. Dressed up for children’s parties, the killer clown murdered and sexually assaulted at least 33 men and boys in the early ‘70s. Asphyxiation or strangulation were his speciality, and he stored the bodies of his victims in the crawl space of his house, elsewhere on his property or in a nearby river. He was executed by lethal injection in 1994.

“I actually think I may be possessed with demons; I was dropped on my head as a kid.”
German serial killer and sexual predator, the so-called Vampire of Dusseldorf – Kurten was known to drink the blood of his victims. And he had a rather interesting approach to his upcoming execution by guillotine…
“After my head has been chopped off, will I still be able to hear, at least for a moment, the sound of my own blood gushing from my neck? That would be the best pleasure to end all pleasure.”
Serial killer and prostitute Wuornos at first insisted that her crimes were a result of clients threatening to hurt or rape her – but her words tell a different story. Seven men died at her hands, and she was executed in Florida in 2002.
“I’m one who seriously hates human life and would kill again.”
“I robbed them, and I killed them as cold as ice, and I would do it again, and I know I would kill another person because I’ve hated humans for a long time.”
Dubbed the Night Strangler, rapist, killer and burglar Ramirez specialised in home invasions – especially the homes of elderly women. Satanist Ramirez used guns, knives and hammers to commit his crimes – and never showed any remorse. He died while on death row of B-cell lymphoma in 2013.
“Even psychopaths have emotions; then again, maybe not.”
“We’ve all got the power in our hands to kill, but most people are afraid to use it. The ones who aren’t afraid, control life itself.”
Child rapist and cannibal, Fish was born in 1870, and famously boasted that he had ‘had’ children in every state – once putting the number at 100. He was electrocuted in 1936.

Myra Hindley helped Brady sexually abuse and kill five children. Known as the Moors Murders, the depraved events terrified 1960s Greater Manchester – especially the recording of 10-year-old Lesley Ann Downey’s last seconds.
Myra said, “I was under duress and abuse before the offences, after and during them, and all the time I was with him,” she said. “He used to threaten me and rape me and whip me and cane me. I would always be covered in bruises and bite marks. He threatened to kill my family. He dominated me completely.”
