War Dogs is based on a true story following two friends in their early 20s living in Miami Beach who happen upon a great money-making scheme during the Iraq War. They exploit a little-known government initiative that allows small businesses to bid on U.S. Military contracts. Starting small, they begin raking in big money and are living the high life. But the pair get in over their heads when they land a 300-million dollar deal to arm the Afghan Military – a deal that puts them in business with some very shady people, not least of which turns out to be the U.S. Government.

For years the old wood carver Mr. Meacham has delighted local children with his tales of the fierce dragon that resides deep in the woods of the Pacific Northwest. His daughter Grace always thought they were just stories, until she meets Pete. Pete is a mysterious 10-year-old with no family and no home, who claims to live in the woods with a giant, green dragon named Elliott. Grace sets out to determine where Pete came from and the truth about his dragon. However, a few other people have found out about this remarkable dragon and are intent on capturing it.
