Salavat Fidai, 42, carves intricate pieces of art in lead, with subjects ranging from comic book characters to landmark buildings.

Using just a craft knife and a 4 x magnifying glass, his impressive character work includes Darth Vader and Batman. While other highlights include the Eiffel Tower, Big Ben and a series of hand poses.

Patient Salavat says an average statue takes six to 12 hours of work, and complicated models take two to three days.
